Volunteer & Bonus YLA Opportunities
During the school year, Fantastic Magic Camp sometimes has booths and tables at events, festivals and more where we tell the public about camp, maybe teach a trick or show off some juggling. While YLA members can earn service and volunteer hours through participating in these, they’re often a great time to practice a lot of the skills we learn in YLA and at camp.
During the Spring, YLA offers 5 required core training sessions scheduled ahead of time. We ask families to attend these 5 Core Training Sessions. We ask YLA member to plan to attend all 5, but we understand that conflicts can pop up. To help with this, we will also update families with additional bonus opportunities and activities to get credit for missed training sessions.
These additional Service Hour & Volunteer Opportunities and Bonus YLA Opportunities can count towards intern training requirements for working at camp sessions, however they may not contain the same materials covered in our core training dates, and may not be affiliated with Fantastic Magic Camp. Instead, they may provide transferable skills or training, or a chance to practice life skills we encourage in YLA.
If you have an event or opportunity to suggest we add to the lists, let us know.
Every organization requires reporting service and volunteer hours in a different way. Email admin@magiccamp.com with your specific needs and we'll verify and sign off on your hours as needed.
